We are all special and Unique!
We know that every parent believes their child is special, and we certainly believe this too, because they are!
We know that all of the children in our school are unique little beings, with their own history, personal characteristics, like and dislikes. They all come from their own unique home circumstances and have lived lots of experiences before the arrive at our school. For some we may be the first time they have separated from parents, for others we may be the first child in their family to attend school, for others they may have attended Private Day Nursery and some may have attend Pre-school groups before arriving at our gates. But for all of them, we believe it is our duty to teach them about how unique we all are, including them, and how we should value and respect everyone's similarities and differences. By doing these we can truly assess the children's abilities, attributes and skills and then plan their future learning pathway.
Learning Pathways
We believe education is a Journey, not a destination. On that Journey each child finds their own path, a unique personalised journey which allows children to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to meet their full potential and prepare them for their next stage in learning and life.
Here at Bolsover Infant and Nursery we wish for all our children to reach their full potential and hope to offer help to children and parents to plan their learning Journey in order to do this. – This planning we call our Learning Pathway.
Every child will have a learning pathway, some may even include Group plans, Individual education plans and strategy plans. This Learning Pathway will include support for children's social and emotional needs if necessary, their academic progress, their learning behaviours and any support necessary to ensure they are fully prepared for transition (at which ever stage), as well as ready for learning and life.
We hope that children thrive here at Bolsover Infant and Nursery School and grow into happy, healthy, safe and success learners now and for later life.
